Overview

Our client was experiencing difficulties in monitoring the use and maintenance activities of more than 700 work tools at their manufacturing site. Very often the tools were damaged, unavailable, or not in place, causing a significant reduction in productivity. In addition, it was not easy to evaluate the performance of tools from different suppliers and this information is critical in evaluating new purchases.

With the introduction of Scops, the creation of a digital profile for each tool was done very easily by uploading a Excel list of tools. Each tool can now be easily identified through a dedicated QR code or through our image recognition algorithms. This allows both operators and maintenance managers to have easy access to all information on instrument status, availability and calibration settings.

In addition, the ability to upload video tutorials has increased the productivity of the team by allowing them to avoid a time-consuming and continuous request for information from the various experts in the plant. In addition, all the data generated by Scops and their analysis through dedicated dashboards has allowed the identification of maintenance inefficiencies and the best performing instruments reducing waste and optimizing investments.
